The Big Apple

Cedric's sister had a baby, so we took the whole family up to NY to meet baby Nadia. To be completely honest, I was hesitant about this trip because we've never driven more than two hours with all four kids. Everything went really well (as well as it could until the last 15 minutes of the drive home). We got a hotel with an indoor pool, which was a huge hit. I think for our next vacation we should just get a hotel room up the street and call it good. Most of the excitement for them was sleeping in a different room, going up and down the elevators, and swimming. Here are some pictures of our adventure.

The exercise room at the hotel was fun for them...

Meeting baby Nadia for the first time...

Late night drive to see the sites of NYC...it was great, no traffic. We had to wake up T for the Statue.of Liberty, M was asleep. It was far, but pretty lit up.

Balto...G learned about this famous sled dog, and made sure we went and saw him while we were at Central.Park.

After this, we went to the big famous toy store. It was every child's dream!

Here are the kids feeding ducks and geese with Nana. They had a lot of fun.

I think a trip once a year or so is doable! The kids loved it!

You are a posting queen! Way to go! I love the baptism pics. What a special day. We went on a vacation to the Oregon Coast, and what do you think the kids' favorite part was? The hotel pool. Seriously, we're staying in a hotel up the street next year!
