Baseball...A Day at the Park

G's been hitting baseballs really well since he was 2. In fact, we didn't even have a bat for him, so we used his dad's heavy old wooden one and he was still hitting them way over our fence. The past few years, we have learned that baseball will probably be his thang...

We never knew how demanding it could be to put a kid in a sport...G's got at least 2 games per week and then throw practice into the mix, and you have no time for anything else! We often wondered why we were the only family that actually had both parents at practices/games, but now we know...when you've got multiple kids doing multiple sports, you have to split up, or else you will end up with a splitting headache!

Practicing at home first...

First time up to bat...I was more nervous than he was!

He was one thirsty boy at the end of the game!

School Days....

Oh, there's nothing more sweeter than the lovely sound of the alarm every morning. I have to drag myself out of bed and then get the Googs ready. I've gotten to used to working at home in my pajamas every day...now I actually have to get showered and dressed at a decent time???

G's getting ready to leave for his first day....he's actually got a smile on his face!

Here's our boy with his fellow kindergarteners at the bus stop, him getting on the bus, and him at school! I couldn't help but get a little misty-eyed!

Summer Fun...

Since it took me so long to get started on a blog, I am posting some pics of our adventures this past summer. Check back for some more!

THE BEACH

We took a beach trip to Seaside Heights in New Jersey to visit their Uncle Billy (Vi's cousin) who is stationed out there in the military.

On the Pier Crab Fishing...

Miss Toots, Striking a Pose

The Drama Began when we had to take G to the ER, thinking he possibly fractured his ankle while on the beach...he looked so pathetic with his splint! By the way, no fracture...he only stressed it out from running around on the beach for way too long!

The kids loved searching for seashells...

Daddy fell asleep in the sun and one half of his body was burned...you'd think the hair would have provided some sort of protection....

The girls at the beach....

A SPECIAL VISIT FROM THE GREAT GRANDPARENTS!

Meme & Pepe (great grandparents) came to visit from Florida. The kids ate up all the attention!

That's four Generations on the same couch!!!

Tori Adorns herself with stickers...

4TH OF JULY!

AT THE TEMPLE...

Our trip to the temple. Just makes you think, when we got married at the DC temple SEVERAL years ago, these little ones were just a twinkle in our eyes!

FINALLY Up With the Times

I have often laughed at all my friends who said blogging could be addictive. I always thought in the back of my mind, "I'd never start a blog." Well, here I am...How did I get here? What a better way to get everyone up to date on all family news than here? I'm new to this, so be nice!
